Love Is for Losers by Wibke Brueggemann

‘P.S: I can’t believe I’m sixteen.
Turning sixteen was always for other people.
But I suppose so was love.’

Can I rate this book 27282736 stars, please? I picked it up at Waterstones bc I thought the cover with the kitty looked cute. I never imagined myself reading about a cynical, humourous and pessimistic 15 year old girl who falls head over heels in love with her female co-worker in a charity shop.

‘Love Is For Lovers’ covers so many important topics for teenagers and young adults. Grief, sex, friendship, the relationship with parents and guardians, growing up without a father, stressfull exams and exploring your sexual identity.

This book made me giggle and laugh out loud more often than not and made me teary eyed during the sad parts. Absolutely loved it.
