Chaotic. Lots of names, lots of places, but nothing really happens. I understand that this book is a "premise" to the following 13? 14? books in the series but considering that this book alone in 750+ pages I expected for something to happen, instead of the plot being reduced to the last 20 pages.

The story follows a group of people during a journey trying to escape some monsters who want to kill them (more or less): Moraine, Lan, Rand, Egwene, a bard, Nynaeve and other two boys whose name I can't even recall because they don't have a personality whatsoever despite being very important to the plot (at least, that's what the reader is told. I'm imagining they will have a story in the future books because in this one they could have been replaced with a brick and nobody would have noticed). Kind of the same for Egwene. She is written as the soft, kind, gentle type of girl and that's turned out to be her whole personality.

At a certain point they got separated into smaller groups. One of this is formed by Lan, Moraine and Nynaeve who frankly are the only 3 interesting characters in the whole fucking book.

Rand is supposed to be the protagonist but he doesn't have a single quality. He just felt flat. He's not clever or cunning, is not strong nor particularly strong-willed and low-key annoying. And why would I read 13 following books with someone like this?

In fact, I simply won't.
