This is an absolutely outstanding addition to the Pennyroyal Green universe. I'm floored by the emotional depth, the complexity of the characters and relationships, and the through lines with the rest of the series (like

the! names! on! the! gravestones! AAAAAAAHHHH!

). Just wow. Highly recommend for any fans of the PG series who aren't averse to angst; this novella really enriched my appreciation and understanding of the rest of the books.
