I was interested in the parts of the book that weren't Ursula, Rafael, and their relationship. Ursula is annoying and too much. Rafael is dull and underdeveloped. Their relationship didn't hook me at all.

The parts that I did like were The Arc, The Stake, and Ursula's work. 

The ending was rather predictable.
