I thought we had all decided that the not-like-other-girls attitude was not the way to go. Apparently, the author of this book did not get the memo.
Elizabeth Zott is Sheldon Cooper in a blonde wig. Anyone who does not fully agree with everything she says and does is either a bumbling idiot or a moustache-twirling villain. Her four-year-old daughter reads Faulkner but purposefully misunderstands her teacher's explanation of the purpose of a family tree. And they have a dog that can talk to dead people, read minds and find bombs in handbags.
Also, she's a scientist but doesn't know that unprotected sex gets you pregnant? Or maybe she just refuses to believe that anything she doesn't want to happen to her can happen. This was a confusing read, to say the least.
