Rock Star's Heart by Kella Campbell

5.0

I read this in one sitting.
It's a little cliche with the addict rockstar and virginal heroine suddenly thrust into the world of fame and paparazzi. But isn't that what makes these books so addictive?
It's the taste of the forbidden, the living vicariously through waifish characters and wanting to fix the bad boy.
Rock Star's Heart has all this and more. The conflict the bad had with their label was interesting and I would have liked to see the fallout from the events of the final chapter.
I enjoyed the friendships Crys formed with the crew. Usually, the heroine forms a brother/sister bond with the bandmates who also feature heavily. I like that this wasn't the case. I liked Sally and Kimmy.
I feel like there's a story behind Marigold, but I don't know if I'm interested. Some characters are irredeemable to me and I think Marigold might be one of those characters.
Blade...hmm...he's definitely for the whole save me bad boy thing down. I don't know if I saw enough of him to form a strong opinion. He's charismatic and it would be easy to fall for his charms.
I don't know how I feel about the next book being Easy's story. Also, I do wonder what will happen to Rhys and the band. Lots of reasons (not that I need one) to keep reading this series. Just, maybe not at 2 am again. Humans still need sleep to function apparently.
