The Forbidden Man
by Karina Halle
i really enjoyed this book and i loved the setting and atmosphere a lot. karina halle is an expert at transporting you to whatever location her books are set in and immersing you. also alejo was so dreamy and such a sweetheart i just needed him to be happy. and the chemistry between alejo and thalia was top tier. at first i was afraid the book might rely too much upon just sexual chemistry to make their relationship work but i think there was a lot of emotional connection and chemistry that developed between them as the book went on which i appreciated.
however, this book wasn't a full fav because the ending pissed me off a bit too much and was a bit too dragged out.
tho i will say i'm happy thalia didn't get magically pregnant at the end of the book due to alejo's super dick or something and that they decided to adopt. super cute and i really want to read the spinoffs of this book
basically this book is hot and atmospheric and i have a predilection for older woman/younger man tropes so i had a stellar time would recommend

Spoiler
i didn't get why thalia couldn't have just told alejo that she was quitting real madrid instead of running away. also didn't get why she needed to take back her job an man united?? ig closer but,,, it was just annoying to me. i'm glad the conflict didn't get dragged out too long after they were reunited but...tho i will say i'm happy thalia didn't get magically pregnant at the end of the book due to alejo's super dick or something and that they decided to adopt. super cute and i really want to read the spinoffs of this book
