This is the first review I've left for this series as I started reading where the anime left off in the middle of season. I thought the Shibuya incident was very interesting and complex. Perhaps a little too complex though as I was lost sometimes and had to go back to previous volumes and panels to understand what was happening.
The action and art are all spectacular. I love the way the panels are drawn to show the movement of the characters.
The loss of Nanami was heart wrenching as he's my favorite character and I'll miss him in the next volumes. I don't really know how I feel about Nobura's death. It didn't feel super necessary and when combined with Namami's death and Sukuna obliterating all those non-sorcerers, it kinda feels like they both got "fridged." If the deaths of characters are meant to motivate Yuji to get stronger so that he could defeat Mahito, that sort of diminished the value of the characters that died that we spent so much time getting to know. I'm also pretty sad that Mahito wasn't killed after everything. They were just absorbed by Kenjaku and it was pretty unsatisfying after they kiled some of our favorite characters and had all that build up with Yuji. I'm assuming they will come back into play later controlled by Kenjaku, but I kinda wish we were done with them.
I'm still very excited to see where the story goes from here and how all the destruction is dealt with by the characters.
