Turtles All the Way Down by John Green

5.0

I bought this book on an impulse. I've read all of John Green's books throughout high school. I've always found his books to be easy to read and enjoyable but, ultimately, forgettable (save for The Fault in Our Stars).

I picked up Turtles All the Way Down because I knew it was a book that I could easily get through. But I was pleasantly surprised by a lot of aspects of the book. Like many have already pointed out, the way that John Green portrays mental illness is very relatable. While I don't personally suffer from OCD, I found the way that he writes anxiety to be very relatable. I also enjoyed the plot more than any other of Green's books and feel that his writing has improved.
