The War of the Worlds by H.G. Wells
4.0

This is a fantastic novel. I am still in utter disbelief that this masterpiece was written over a century ago. This man had such a grasp for the written word and progressive storytelling that I could believe this novel was written this year. Let me put this into perspective, this novel was written in the same decade in which the Stop sign was invented. The assembly line was introduced four years after this book was released. The airplane was introduced six years after Wells had finished telling this tale. I enjoyed this novel immensely. Other than the very rare parts of the book that dragged on a bit too long, I cannot find any substantial complaints. Ill be giving this gem another read in a few years or so.
