I am a Freya Marske fan now. And Josh Dylan, man that you are, upped the experience with incredible narration. This series has been such a slow burn for me, in that I enjoyed book one, but wasn’t captivated, but now? I’m going to draw fan art, I’m going to search for fan fiction, and I was genuinely bereft that it finished. Hell, I might even buy the books and annotate my favourite bits like the Booktok girlie I am.

If you’re thinking of starting this series, do. It’s magical, not just in world building, but character and a genuinely compelling plot alongside some tender relationship. What hurts more is that because it’s set 1910 ish, I’m looking forward to being absolutely deveststed by the inevitable WW1 fan fic.

Read it!!
