The Ferryman
by Justin Cronin
Fascinating premise, much less dense than the Passage trilogy through the first 3/4, and then things take a twist and the details get hazy and wonky. Dare I day dreamlike but not in a good way.
He brings it home, and like the end of the Passage trilogy, you kind of forget about the mess. 5 stars for quite a while, then 3ish, rounded together at 4 stars.
