This was a surprising one. I’m reading it for my February book club and I flew thru it. I think Psychological Thrillers are climbing in ranks of favorite genre recently. The main character Blythe has essentially distrusted her daughter since the day she was born and felt nothing for her. But then Blythe has a son and absolutely adores him. When bad things happen around her, is she right to think her daughter is causing them? Or is it all in her head and she’s blaming her child daughter for things unfairly because of her dislike of the girl and her past with her own mother?
Slightly predictable but still chilling ending.
