I wanted this to be more than it was. Maybe I wanted it to be adult fiction. Maybe I didn't want it to be romance. Maybe I just didn't need to read a white person starting to understand how to see color. It was pretty. It was snow-covered. It was soft. It took an hour and a half to read and that was enough.
