Isaac's Storm: A Man, a Time, and the Deadliest Hurricane in History by Erik Larson

challenging emotional informative sad tense fast-paced

5.0

This book introduced me to the idea that history is more than dry facts on a textbook page; that it is a collection of stories, lives lived, experiences and endurance. Larson is a top-notch author with strong command over the English language and the rare ability to put you, the reader, in Galveston with the community facing an unthinkably devastating storm. Enjoy this book and then relish the feeling that Larson has also written several other A+ works for you to delight in.
