Re-read:
The first time I started reading The Legend of the Ice People was back when I was a teenager in the '90s. I read the Polish edition back then — Saga o Ludziach Lodu — and now I’m re-reading it in English. It's kind of a nostalgia read, and guess what? I loved it then, and I still love it over three decades later. ^^

Sure, some parts of the story can feel a bit cringey at times, but it's still so good — even addictive. The series blends folklore, witchcraft and ancient powers with historical settings. It begins in the 16th century and spans several centuries, following the cursed bloodline of a family descended from a demonic ancestor, Tengel the Evil, who made a pact with the devil.
