After the slight bummer that was Moon over Soho this one picks it right up again.

Maybe that can be attributed to a certain character not being involved as much in the previous volume. As I think a lot of the humor comes from the interaction between the protagonist and his colleague. And yeah this was very much present in this book. Lots of funny and very nerdy remarks and just overall very enjoyable bantering.

Felt like the case portrayed into this book was not the most compelling but it made for some interesting world building bits and also I liked how the overarching story is progressing. Still feels a lot like "Case of the Week" type stories but there are strong hints at something bigger which would absolutely be needed for long term motiviation. For now though these fun, lighthearted supernatural detective stories are still landing pretty well.
