Verity by Colleen Hoover certainly has gotten a lot of buzz recently. I went in skeptical, but I was pleasantly surprised! I really enjoyed the story. I found it fast-paced, sharp, and entertaining. Though the subject matter may not be for everyone, I think the ending makes it all worth it. While it is certainly is hard to read in some moments, I think this perfectly encapsulates what a psychological thriller can do to a reader in more than one aspect. If you’re looking for a thriller that will keep you horrified and guessing, this is definitely it.
