The Book of Dragons by E. Nesbit

adventurous fast-paced
  • Plot- or character-driven? A mix
  • Strong character development? No
  • Loveable characters? It's complicated
  • Diverse cast of characters? No
  • Flaws of characters a main focus? Yes

2.5

The stories were nonsensical with plot holes left willy-nilly by undeveloped characters that changed on a whim.

One of my biggest peeves in children’s books is when the authors go after their self-esteem in a negative way, “No one will love you if you don’t brush your teeth.”
