Imaginary Friend by Stephen Chbosky

Holy shit, this book is terrible.

TERRIBLE.

Like, it's not even that the plot twist is bad. The entire plot is bad.

It starts with such promise, though. 7-year old boy goes missing, and comes back with giffffffts. Such a great premise!

Boy, was I let down. It's good that Chbosky acknowledges Stephen King right at the beginning, because this is a cheap and dirty King rip off to the highest degree.

I am so sorry I wasted so much time reading this book. 2020 was the year of the slump, I'm trying to make up for it, and this book deserved to stay on the slump shelf.
