No spooks, but the spirits of the past coming back to haunt the guilty living.

One of the greatest mysteries I've ever read and including to that in a crazy layout structure, that I have never seen before. It's actually soooo cool and I definitely recommend to start on the blue side. It makes the revelation in the end more astonishing and surprising. I don't even want to say anything about the plot, because you definitely have to read in blind, without any context. Because it is split in two sides and kind of two story's there is so much story and great plot twists.

What bothered me a little bit was the gruesome and horrible things that happened to the characters, but where sadly historical correct. A little trigger warning would be appreciated!

It's all about the secrets and lies from the past, that can't be buried and will always come to light. It's about a big family scandal and guilt. I love how the different sides are connected geniusly. I was guessing and theorising the whole time, until the end was something completely different again. It was really interesting and perfect for foggy November!
