By the time Jennette was on Nickelodeon, I had mostly aged out of watching the channel so I’ve never seen the shows she was in, but I decided to read this book on a whim. By the end, I too was glad her mom died. She was
emotionally and sexually abusive
toward Jennette her entire life. It was clear her mom learned those behaviors from Jennette’s grandmother. Some content was a bit too graphic and TMI and the description of her ED got exhausting by the end. However, I think that accurately shows what she went through. I hope she has finally found peace and recovery.
