This book gave me cavities, but like grown-up cavities, with emotional baggage, and daggers, and scores to settle. A fun romp with enough light-hearted whimsical fairy tale elementals (and horse shenanigans) to make my little inner horse princess happy, but also classic high-fantasy political machinations, interesting world building, and some east of the sun and west of the moon energy to keep me engaged.
