Lucy Undying by Kiersten White

5.0

Told through a collection of stories, Kiersten White's LUCY UNDYING slowly unveils the truth of modern horror, being told a woman’s place, men's cold and unkind desires, and society's gray acceptance of evil.  Through Kiersten's beautiful prose, we learn about Iris, a reluctant heir on the run, and Lucy, a woman tormented by her past and the consequences of her actions as a woman who sought love many lives over.  I felt the gamut of emotions but felt empowered by their actions, as Kiersten guided me into the dark to tell a tale of Dracula's bride.  LUCY UNDYING masterfully draws the reader into the story of love while simultaneously revealing the truth about passion.
