A Good Girl's Guide to Murder by Holly Jackson

5.0

Take Betty Cooper/Riverdale and a dash of Alison Delaurentiis/ Pretty Little Liars.... and you get A Good Girls Guide To Murder. And let me tell you, I ENJOYED EVERY MINUTE OF IT! I definitely didnt expect this to hit as much as it did!

A Good Girl's Guide to Murder follows Pippa, a senior at Fairview High School. For her senior project she has decided to prove the innocence of the "town murderer", Sal Singh. Sal was a senior when his girlfriend, Andie, mysteriously disappeared. The initial investigation uncovered holes within Sal's alibi... resulting in him becoming the number one suspect. Allegedly consumed by guilt, Sal confessed to killing Andie and killed himself. The town was content with this conclusion of the case and let the mystery of Andie's disappearance fade into history. That is until Pippa and Sal's brother team up to uncover the truth. This "school project" leads to something much more dangerous than anyone expected.

As I mentioned before... this book was so much fun to read! It wasn't super obvious who the guilty parties were, but it also wasn't super confusing to follow! One thing I did really enjoy was the evidence that was presented in the book! They have inserts of text messages, interviews, maps, and so much more! This made me feel like I was actually a part of the investigation...rather than just reading descriptions of everything! I highly recommend this book if you enjoyed the investigation side of Riverdale! I am already reading the second book in the series, and it is just as captivating as this one! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE read this book!
