Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare
2.0

I actually hated this story both times I had to read in for school and I was 15 either the first, or second time I had to read it. So, around the same age as the main characters. I love most other Shakespeare, but this one just didn't do it for me.

I get the blood feud and having to overcome that and I get it's meant to be a play, so the passage of time is difficult to show. But, this story is two teenagers who go to dramatic lengths and eventually kill themselves for what is supposed to be this great love story, but let's take a step back here. They knew each other a matter of DAYS. That's not love, that's infatuation.

Maybe if they spent more time getting to know each other, they may have decided to go another route or half the cast wouldn't have died.....and I'm saying this as a huge Victor Hugo and George Martin fan, who kill off characters like I brush my teeth
