i will henceforth be having a full scale emotional breakdown if i ever hear the words "earth has sent a message to space" on the news ever again, this book has genuinely rewired my brain.

genuinely though, this one has a slower start than 3BP but once it gets going it is incredibly difficult to put down. The plot twists in this one had me genuinely shocked but made so much sense in context. 100% worth your time and i cannot wait to read the final instalment. This is my new standard for the sci-fi genre as a whole
