Puffin Bay by Annie Dyer

Amelie loves her new hometown.  She left her wealthy home at a young age and fled to London - there was no way she was allowing her father decide her future for her.  When her life exploded in London, she fled to Angeley and has made it her home.

She has friends, her business is prospering and she has her eye on expansion.  But some wealthy developer guzzumped her bid for the land.  Roman should be everything she hates - suit wearing, money loving, temporary and ANNOYING.  So why does he keep getting under her skin?  And worse, why must he be all the things she thought he wasn't?!

Ah, Roman.  He's a complex guy.  Just when you think you have him sussed, he does something nice and flips your opinion.  He may come from money and made even more of it but he's not really money-driven.  He never had a real family before and his newly sprung son has quickly become everything to him.  Amelie is a spitfire and her friends are endearing.  I'm so looking forward to learning more about this trio!  The entire story is brilliantly sharp and witty and I loved meeting Mavis and the rest of the B&S!

There are cameos from characters from other series by this author but even though I had not read them I wasn't lost at all and just dived into the world. I felt right at home as my sister in law lives in Llandudno and I just kind of planted Puffin Bay there.
