The writing was absolutely beautiful but I never really got hooked by it. I didn’t feel anything for the characters and their romance. So I wasn’t super eager to pick it up and it took me almost two weeks to finish a fairly short audiobook. I really enjoyed the last 40% tho and would recommend it, because the prose was very stunning. The audiobook was great. This was actually a re-read, I read the German translation years back and wanted to see how I feel about it today.
