the book was very well written. there were some very interesting parts and some parts of the book that let me down. i loved the was that the characters were described and how every character played a role and wasn't just there for no reason. the two main characters were both amazing and i really enjoyed reading the book and getting to read from both of their sides. the enemies to lovers were done amazing and i loved the romantic tension between the two love interests. it was great that the book was not purely based on romance. throughout the book there were many scenes that took me by surprise or shocked me. i would never have guessed that divine rivals would end the way it did. the ending is left on such a cliff hanger, and i was just dying to read the next book, but at the same time i am kinda terrified for what might happen. the little letters that were incorporated and how the characters sent letters to each other was so interesting and fun to real. at the end of the book i had tears in my eyes from both sadness and joy. the only part i didn't really enjoy was the start because i found it a bit slow and you had to get at least 70 pages in before things got entertaining and engaging. the book is very good though and totally worth the read.
