How to Avoid a Climate Disaster: The Solutions We Have and the Breakthroughs We Need by Bill Gates
4.0
I read this book AFTER Bill Gates announced (August 12, 2021) that he would invest 1.5 billion with the federal government on projects to combat climate change. Talk about putting your money where your mouth is. He will likely hit more home runs with this bet.
Gates presented a roadmap for grappling with this monster challenge. He did this in a crystal-clear engineering-for-dummys style, a true compliment. He included personal details and views that made the book engaging as well. I would love to go on a "nerdy" power plant tour like Bill and his son.
I feel like he has made a huge contribution, not just to the debate, but to the plan.
If any of his editors happen to see this review, please do something about the green premium tables in the transportation section. The layout seems illogical and I had a hard time comprehending these.
