Change on the Fly by Maren Moore

3.0

I want to complete Marens blacklist so I'm starting HERE. Listened for free via the Audible app. The story was simple & easy to listen to. I think my only problem was the female narrator. I've come to realize i don't very much like the way her voice sounds. This doesn't negatively impact the story that Maren wrote, though.

I really liked Holland. She is such a good friend to Emory, but as her relationship blossoms with Em's older brother, Reed, & his nephew, she becomes a good friend to them too. It was tough for her to balance the push & pull between the siblings. That's a tough spot to be in.

Reed truly grew within the story. We don't really know a whole lot about his playboy ways because he becomes a guardian fairly early, but we were given a decent picture. I giggled a lot with his dialog with Evan. The potty training situation was so friggin cute.

This was an easy paced read. There's not a lot of depth, but it's definitely well rounded. Can't wait to listen to the next one
