Very good! An absurd book (my favourite kind) with little twistys right at the end!
I do feel accomplished I guessed some of the twists :) Because my parents have only watched the movie they convinced me that some of the book twists didn't happen because they don't happen in the movie so I still got some little "I knew it!!" surprises.
It is a quick little read with a very good payoff! I don't know why but it doesn't feel quite 5 stars for me but an absolutely excellent book! I would recommend this to people who like creepy-ish mysteries. It's not quite a thriller but not quite not a thriller and all in all very interesting. I encourage you to speculate as much as you want about the twists n turns because that made it all the more fun!
I am going to watch the movie but I am still a little skeptical of if I will like it (even though there are references to Oklahoma! my favourite nostalgic musical) but for this book review, that is neither here nor there.
There are some tough topics in this book (about mental health) so I would be wary of that going into the book
