After finishing Tessa Bailey's Hot & Hammered series I was quite nervous to pick this one up, as I did not enjoy my time with the previous series. I am happy to report that I freaking LOVED this!

I truly felt as though I were watching a quirky romcom as I was reading this, and I fell in love with Piper's character right away! She was hilarious without having to try and there was something so endearing about her character growth throughout her time in Westport, WA. I thought that she and Brendan complemented each other so well (hello, her prissy, Instagram-Influencer persona vs. his rugged, chip-on-his-shoulder fisherman vibe was so fun to read from!) and I was rooting for them from the moment their eyes locked in the dive bar for the first time. Not to mention, this book was HOTTTT. (Like, don't let the cover fool you hot).

I vowed that I wouldn't pick up another Tessa Bailey book if I thought this one was mid at most, but I gotta say, I played myself. I need Hook, Line & Sinker ASAP.
