Darius the Great Deserves Better
by Adib Khorram
I'm so glad this is labeled as a companion and not a sequel because the first book definitely stands on its own. That being said, this was a wonderful follow up and I'm really glad I read it. Having more time with Darius and his family was a joy and I can't say enough good things, so I won't try. This was fantastic though and still dealt with depression but also bullying, consent, and generally navigating relationships as one grows up which can be so hard. The novel handles every subject in a very real but hopeful way and even though it isn't super plot driven, it's insanely easy to read and quick to get through. I loved it.
