I don't have a ton of thoughts about this, but I had a very good time. The exploration of female dominance and male submission was pretty solid, and the sex scenes were great
—Devil: A very depressed submissive. Not a ton of personality outside of shame regarding his kinky side, but he was all right. 6/10
—Eliza: A little more interesting than Devil. Trying to accept her dominant side and avoid her awful, nagging, utterly horrid mother. And girl learns to use a dang cane. 7/10.
—Smut: the true reason to read this book. Sexy times abound, and with some variety and toys that are a bit hard to find in historicals. 8/10
—Plot: The climax (no pun intended) wasn't as bananas as book one, but worked well with the Marriage In Trouble resolution. Perfectly acceptable, but more emotionally driven than externally. 6/10
—Audiobook reading by Carmen Rose was pretty solid
—Overall, if you liked the first one or are interested in a submissive hero, you should give this a shot. It's a novella, after all. You'll finish it in a day.
