Born in Ice
by Nora Roberts
Three Irish sisters find love in this sweet adult contemporary romance series.
I read the original trilogy back in the late 90's, but remember very little about it. This time around I read them completely out of order - first Born in Ice, then Born in Fire, and finally Born in Shame. While Brianna and Gray are my favorite side characters in the series, I found their story to be rather unmemorable and bland. Margaret Mary and Rogan's love story is full of passion and fun. However, my favorite story of the series is still the last book. Not only do Shannon and Murphy have an epic love, Born in Shame beautifully melds together the relationships between the sisters and their men, as well as the beauty of the Irish countryside and its people.
