The Lost Gate by Orson Scott Card

3.0

I really liked this book. I found it engaging, hard to put down and so funny. Yes, parts of it were slow but they were small parts. I found the entire plot line very interesting and wanted to keep reading.

However, I lost a ton of interest when Oath/Trick was murdered. It just didn’t seem necessary. I really, really struggle to read about children’s deaths. I never thought I’d need a trigger warning.

Maybe as the story continues it will be pertinent. If it it isn’t, I will be very, very disappointed.
