Spinning Silver by Naomi Novik

I have no idea what I've just read. I'm not gonna rate this book because I don't think it'd be fair as I am listening to the audiobook and I'm just so confused. The same voice actress, multiple POVs - I think?! I could not tell anybody apart, the accent was so confusing and she used the same inflections for everyone so I really had no idea whose POV it was (I'm still not sure how many characters I was following in the narrative I swear). I could kind of follow the story of a girl whose father lends money and who's terrible at it, and how she somehow got some sort of entity to believe she could turn silver into gold, which she does by... Trading? Making an artisan make things that in turn make a lot of money? Was there another girl and a boy? Was I following their POVs? I could only kind of guess and just because I went to read the synopsis to try and understand what I was listening to. Almost four hours in and everything was confusing, but there was this thing about a crown and a girl and I was kind of interested and then I fell asleep, I lost my mark on the audiobook and for the love of God I cannot find it back. I have no idea where I was in the grand scheme of things or where the plot was. So after trying for a couple of days I'm taking this as a sign and abandoning this nightmare of a listening exercise that not even the Cambridge Proficiency Exam could imitate.
I give up.
Maybe I'll try the printed version when I'm able to read again just out of curiosity.
