I did not like this book at all which is why I read it only half way before gifting it to a friend. then my mother showed it to me as one of her new favourite books so I gave it another chance.
I still do not enjoy the writing style at all! I think it is rather awkward and stilted. It sometimes even feels silly. Nobody speaks the way that the characters do. Also it was extremely boring to me at times. Nothing really happens, and I felt like I was supposed to love the characters of the book which I truly did not. 
I did however find it more enjoyable during the last third of the book. And I did like some perspectives on life that were being explored. 
Overall okay. Cannot get over this silly writing style, though...
