This book felt like the perfect Hallmark movie. I immediately fell in love with the main character, Lana. She was a boss bitch in more ways than one, but always did it in a respectful way. Our male lead, Rick, was a huge bumbling idiot around her and I LOVED it. I loved that he was being just as cheesy as she was. I feel like in most books like this, the girl is the love sick puppy and the guy is in the drivers seat. Lana Montgomery was in the drivers seat in more ways than one. But I think that is where the book lost it's spark for me. These are two lonely people around Christmas who just don't want to be alone anymore. I do not think that these characters fit together in the real world. Lana, is a millionaire business woman, while Rick is running a failing bar in the middle of nowhere, and despises new customers. I will say though I loved the author's writing style and I absolutely loved the setting. I need to go to Alaska ASAP.
