A cute YA novel for sure. But, it tries to do too much in too little time without proper infrastructure. By trying to include so many character POV’s, it does a lot more “telling” than “showing,” and struggles to generate any actual substance. Plot driven rather than character growth driven, but there’s not a ton of plot. Interested to see where book 2 goes—maybe this light introduction will pay off!
