I’m gonna be honest, when I first started this book I thought for sure it would be miss like the last Kate Alice Marshall book I read, but I am SO glad I was wrong.
I adored this book. The start was slow and confusing and felt predictable, which threw me off at first and made me think I wouldn’t like the rest of the book, but right around the halfway point things kicked off and suddenly became a LOT less predictable and slow.
The slowness at the beginning had a purpose, luring the reader into a false sense of security, making the reader think that the story will go exactly how they predict, and then it upends everything and all of a sudden all the strange little details start to make sense.
This one was a hit and was SO enjoyable I adored it. I loved the characters and the romance (“rabbit” is the cutest pet name EVER) and I don’t even usually like romance!!
I loved this book a lot and I love it even more because it surprised me with how good it was.
