The Booklover's Library by Madeline Martin
5.0

I could totally relate to this book! Widowed Emma and her daughter Olivia live in the war torn area of English during Hitlers reign. As a book lover, Emma makes a cast of characters friends and struggles with the decision to send her daughter away or keep her with her during the treacherous time of war. The topics of patriotism, motherhood and misogyny are evident. This book captures a war time accuracy with a focus on love for books that help a country get through unspeakable times.
