There were so many wonderful, sweet and classic romantic comedy moments in this story. My favorite parts were toward the end and I was so relieved that the main conflict the FMC went through had the most victorious and satisfying conclusion! As the reader, I felt so vindicated for her and had spent her arc longing to hear her finally say her piece and be heard and she did and it was truly amazing.
The MMC and FMC had lovely chemistry from the beginning; their first kiss is electric. It was most palpable when they joked with each other and had fun together. However, I was disappointed by the lack of emotional depth in the story and the characters. For me, I couldn’t get invested in what was happening and so much of the emotional revelations and conversations felt very surface level. This was also a very long plot, so much is packed into this story and it still felt like so little was taking place.
While I loved certain elements of the characters and their quirks, it seemed like we were being listed their personality traits rather than experiencing their emotions and characteristics as they responded to the world around them.
The end was absolutely wonderful, though, and I loved the resolution and the epilogue was cute and sweet and so heartwarming.
