This book scared the living daylights out of me. Right before I went to bed one night I read the part about the animal coming back out of the cemetery. King described the sound of the footsteps in great detail. Then, as I was trying to fall asleep, my dog, who always slept in the basement decided he needed to come upstairs. He kept bumping his nose against the cellar door, trying to open it. Boom-boom, boom-boom. I thought for sure there was a dog zombie coming after me. That was the night I decided it was ok for my dog to sleep upstairs.
