I listened to this on audiobook so it's a different experience for me. The narrator was great at conveying the various persons...
The stories (intertwined) are gripping. I think Atkinson is masterful at crafting a mood, and illuminating the inner life of her characters.
Ultimately, I'm not sure I found the resolution as satisfying as I might have wanted. And it left me sad... So this isn't for everyone, especially if you're in a downbeat mood.
