I just....can't believe the many good reviews on this book.
The writing style was all over the place. This book constantly switched POV from 3rd Person to 1st Person from paragraph to paragraph. As in, there were 3-4 different POVs on ONE PAGE. And the style was so cut and dry.
These characters fell in love in the space of 2-3 days and the dialog got very Alpha out of nowhere. "She is mine. That's MY woman."
This book read almost like a very long book summary to me (if that makes sense). I wasn't IN the story. It felt like someone was skimming bullet points, but for 200+ pages.
This whole book just didn't work for me. It must work for most other readers, but I just couldn't connect.
