A thrilling end to a stunning series. As Good as Dead kept me on the edge of my seat from start to finish. Jackson's writing has such a vivid and emotional texture, I felt I was running through this tense plot right by Pip's side.
The character development of Pip from the beginning to the end of this series I can imagine is quite polarising. I must admit I lost a bit of love for the new Pip and some of the decisions she made, but Jackson crafted such a well-developed, realistic character that no matter what she did I always rooted for her.
This book definitely leans more thriller than mystery and again might be a bit of a shock to readers of this series. Every twist and turn lead to more danger, more shock and a lot more gasping. I was pulled along this ride and towards the end especially, could not tear my eyes away.
Overall, The Good Girls Guide to Murder series is so well plotted and developed, the characters will stick with you and the mysteries themselves are always thrilling. I was pleasantly suprised by the amount of seeds dropped in book one that reappeared in this last installment, a feat of coming full circle.
Pick this series up if you want a fast and thrilling ride!
