The Blood of Olympus by Rick Riordan
5.0

Wow. This was simply amazing. It took me a little over three weeks to read this, but the only reason it took me so long was because I didn't want it to come to an end. I don't think Riordan could have written a better ending to this amazing series.

This final opus is packed with actions, unexpected plot twists and character development, what is there more to ask for? The story took a turn that I did not expect at all, and I absolutely loved it! I'm so glad the author chose to finish the series this way.

This last book allowed us to see how much each character has evolved since the very beginning. They all changed for the better, grown, matured and we could clearly see their evolution in this book. Friendship, sacrifice and fights were the guests of honor throughout the entire book, and it made me appreciate it even more.

The only thing that bugged me is that we could only read from the same five people's point of view. I wish Riordan could have given more place to Hazel, Frank, Annabeth and Percy, since it seemed like they were a little pushed aside in this opus. But I'm glad I got to learn more about Reyna and Nico, since they were not mentioned a lot throughout the entire series. Not only did we learn more about them as individuals, about their pasts and their emotions, but we also saw them evolve and gain confidence.

Overall, this was a perfect ending to an amazing book series, and even though I'm sad it ended, I'm glad it did this way.
